I am returning
to the simple comforts of the pure,
the feather-light filaments
of white grace trembling
in the wind of the Spirit
moving up our street
moving door to door.

Past tired paving stone
weeds entranced in my boulevard
and the stoned ghost echoes
of my son's skateboard
rattling back to haunt me
rolling up our street
rolling door to door.

You are the only consolation I know,

TRIAGE

My current drawing project is a return to where I began with Killarney Brace, drawing the intimate surfaces found in Ontario's northern wilderness, using only chalk pastels on Arches watercolour paper. The mapping of these surfaces has been a great source of comfort both artistically and metaphorically during some recent adversities and challenges.

This is a very talented diverse group of artists working together as a coop in a fine street level gallery in the heart of James Street Art Crawl district, just north of Barton on the east side.
